Lifestyle Newborn Sessions
“For all the things my hands have held the best by far is you.”
I am so honored to be invited in to the homes of my clients and spend time creating beautiful memories with them. Babies are so incredible amazing to me. I think about all of the things this baby will do in their life. All of the place they will go and the great things they will achieve. I wonder what path they will take in life. But i always hope that I get to watch them grow!
Love is patient, love is kind
Wedding at Hightower falls in Cedartown, Ga
It is never to late to have a happy ever after! This patient groom has waited 10 years to marry the girl of his dreams and it was all planned with in 24 hours! Yep she planned this in 24 hours. You will definitely know when your ready and she knew now was the time! All the details are perfection, including the hair piece she made herself. The picnic was the cutest setup. I do not thing I have ever photographed a wedding with a sweet little picnic. It made me super happy to capture that little moment for them. I am so thankful to be in this moment with them and get to create the magic with this sweet couple. I have always wanted to photograph a wedding here and it definitely did not disappoint. I hope y’all enjoy this images as much as I did taking them.
Going to Miami ...
Let me start off by saying …
This was the most fun I have had as a wedding photographer, like ever! Yes, we traveled during covid times. Yes, I wasn’t happy about going to the airport. Yes, we quarantined when came home! BUT this was amazing!
A little big of our back story:
When I met my husband, he had this gaming friend named George. As the years past, George became someone we enjoyed talking to online because he lives in FL. When we told him that we were engaged his first question was "When is the wedding?! I need to get my plane tickets!" We had never met but we were so excited that we would meet him for the first time at our wedding. So when he told us that his childhood friend was getting married ( also a gaming friend) who needed a photographer and wanted to talk with me about photographing their wedding, well, I was super excited. We had so much fun with him at our wedding and knew this would be no different and man was I right! We spent the weekend really getting to know Andrew and Christina. We played smash brothers and told stories all night. Just like a bunch of kids having a sleep over. Let’s be honest here we are just a bunch of kids at heart. We met the families and felt as if we was just as much a part of their family too. Chris ( my husband ) is now referred to as Steve as that is the name in his mask that he still uses. Chris was a big help to me as he helped photograph the wedding! This wasn’t in the plans but he took my back up camera and decided to play with it. I have given him a crash course here and there but he doesn’t shoot much. I never expected him to shoot the full wedding. I offered him a job shooting with me and his words was “ Maybe but I like Andrew and Christina so it was fun and I wanted to do it for them”
Now about the actual wedding! One of my favorite parts was the favors. Like how cute are those hot sauce bottles with their kitties on the label. The best part of it was tasting the amazing flavor it added to our meal. The location was beautiful. I don’t get to photograph a lot of tropical places, so this quickly became one of my happy places. The first look was something we kind of talked about a few times and they decided to go for it. It was so sweet! He turned around and gave her the biggest smile. I mean, she looked amazing! You could see how happy he was to be in this moment with her. The ceremony was beautiful and perfectly imperfect. I love watching kids just do their own thing. I feel like it really adds that 'sense of family' to a wedding. The best man did an amazing job, he even gifted the ceremony flowers to them. I think he was just as nervous and excited as Andrew since he dropped the rings! Yep, he was getting them ready to make the hand off and they hit the ground. Everyone enjoyed that moment of opps. He continued to entertain everyone with his dancing skills! Even had a moment dancing with Andrews dad. After the dancing was done and it was time to head home, I found Christina talking with her grandfather. He was holding her flowers and I told him that he looked cute with them. He was taking them to his wife as she couldn’t attend the wedding. How beautiful was that?
This was very special wedding for me and so hold so many moments. Glad to have been apart of it and cannot wait to celebrate again soon.
To Christina & Andrew:
Chris and I want to thank you for allowing us to be apart of your wedding day! We enjoyed every minute of hanging out with you and your friends. I think the best place to meet people is at weddings. We can not wait for to be able to see you guys again.
Just so y’all know I am working on my skills with R.O.B so be prepared!

Chris & Brie
A Dj and good friend of ours (Doug Sheets now with Phoenix Live Entertainment, LLC) Put us in contact with one another and I am so happy he did! When we first meet I was in love with this couples style and energy. They are so in love and it show in every photograph. As a photographer these are my favorite people to photograph, there is just something about seeing so much love in their eyes. It is just one of the many things that I love about wedding days!
They chose a laid back but beautiful location to share with their family and friends. With the I do's under a large tree with breath taking views every guest was blown away as Brie walked down to meet her man. After a long awaited kiss the newly weds was eager to get to the party and embrace each other in their first dance. The best dance has to go to the groom as he danced hes heart out to brie right before removing the garter. This groom sure does have some moves but the lady catching the toss flowers was in for a really treat. Hey maybe they will be next to say I do ....
All in all this one will be down in the books as a super fun wedding with an amazing couple and some beautiful images that that I hope they love as much as we do!
We have been so excited about sharing Chris and Brie's wedding photographs so here is a small part of the beautiful gallery we have created together.
Brie and Chris are getting married!!!
I haven't known these two love birds to long but we sure did have fun with this engagement/family session. I love how cute these two are together and how sweet their kids get along. I love when a family comes together and makes a session fun, amazing and warm ... even in frezzing weather!
This little light of mine.
Babies are an amazing gift. Little bundles of light and everything that is good.
I am so glad that Kyle and Carrie allowed me to join in them in welcoming their sweet baby into this world. We had some fun family bonding time, played dress up and celebrated Christmas. Capturing their family celebrating these little moments is what puts a smile on my face and reminds me whats really important in life.
Before & After
I am really excited to start this blog post!
Editing is something the I find to be as close to magic as I can get. You really can get an image to come alive and speak to your heart and soul with a vision and some hard work. So here is where i will add a few before and after images so you can see what I see when I look at a photo and what my vision brings out in each image. Keep a watch on this post as my 2016 edited will be right here.
Family Session Tips
Tips to help your family session run smooth!
A lot of our clients get a little lost when planning their family photos but this should be a fun process. We want to capture your personality and love you share with each member of your family. You also what to think about what you will be doing with these images. Will you hang them on the wall? What about displaying them on a coffee table? Sharing them on social media? Sending them to loved ones?
Tips for great family photos:
- Kinda match
Not everyone needs to be in a white shirt and jeans. Mix and match patterns and solids but keep the colors matching. Let the style of each family member show as you are documenting this stage of your life as a family.
- Family colors
What colors are included in your home decor? If you are planning on hanging your photos in you living room and you have color scheme of purple and blue have your family wear these colors. this will make your images match your decor and give them the feel of being part of your design and not just a photo.
- Design
We love getting prints and other photo items delivered to our door (It feels like Christmas EVERY TIME)! To me the best part is holding a beautiful photo in my hands and seeing them on the walls and all over the house. This is something to consider if you are planning an epic wall display, send out Christmas cards or posting on social media.
- Keeping the PEACE!
The day of a photo session can be stressful, especially if you have unwilling participants (sometimes known as kiddos or husbands, but we still love them)! Make sure they get a good nights sleep and are feed before your session. Having something on hand for the kids works well and non messy candy for a bribe is also a good idea!
- Have FUN!
Wear lays, fun accessories, dress it up or keep it casual but make it you!
If you have any questions we would love to help out! You can always message us describing what challenges you are having and we will give any advice we can or you can send us a photo and we can go from there. Our goal is to give you all the tools to really create your perfect portrait!
