Going to Miami ...

Let me start off by saying …

This was the most fun I have had as a wedding photographer, like ever! Yes, we traveled during covid times. Yes, I wasn’t happy about going to the airport. Yes, we quarantined when came home! BUT this was amazing!

A little big of our back story:

When I met my husband, he had this gaming friend named George. As the years past, George became someone we enjoyed talking to online because he lives in FL. When we told him that we were engaged his first question was "When is the wedding?! I need to get my plane tickets!" We had never met but we were so excited that we would meet him for the first time at our wedding. So when he told us that his childhood friend was getting married ( also a gaming friend) who needed a photographer and wanted to talk with me about photographing their wedding, well, I was super excited. We had so much fun with him at our wedding and knew this would be no different and man was I right! We spent the weekend really getting to know Andrew and Christina. We played smash brothers and told stories all night. Just like a bunch of kids having a sleep over. Let’s be honest here we are just a bunch of kids at heart. We met the families and felt as if we was just as much a part of their family too. Chris ( my husband ) is now referred to as Steve as that is the name in his mask that he still uses. Chris was a big help to me as he helped photograph the wedding! This wasn’t in the plans but he took my back up camera and decided to play with it. I have given him a crash course here and there but he doesn’t shoot much. I never expected him to shoot the full wedding. I offered him a job shooting with me and his words was “ Maybe but I like Andrew and Christina so it was fun and I wanted to do it for them”

Now about the actual wedding! One of my favorite parts was the favors. Like how cute are those hot sauce bottles with their kitties on the label. The best part of it was tasting the amazing flavor it added to our meal. The location was beautiful. I don’t get to photograph a lot of tropical places, so this quickly became one of my happy places. The first look was something we kind of talked about a few times and they decided to go for it. It was so sweet! He turned around and gave her the biggest smile. I mean, she looked amazing! You could see how happy he was to be in this moment with her. The ceremony was beautiful and perfectly imperfect. I love watching kids just do their own thing. I feel like it really adds that 'sense of family' to a wedding. The best man did an amazing job, he even gifted the ceremony flowers to them. I think he was just as nervous and excited as Andrew since he dropped the rings! Yep, he was getting them ready to make the hand off and they hit the ground. Everyone enjoyed that moment of opps. He continued to entertain everyone with his dancing skills! Even had a moment dancing with Andrews dad. After the dancing was done and it was time to head home, I found Christina talking with her grandfather. He was holding her flowers and I told him that he looked cute with them. He was taking them to his wife as she couldn’t attend the wedding. How beautiful was that?

This was very special wedding for me and so hold so many moments. Glad to have been apart of it and cannot wait to celebrate again soon.

To Christina & Andrew:

Chris and I want to thank you for allowing us to be apart of your wedding day! We enjoyed every minute of hanging out with you and your friends. I think the best place to meet people is at weddings. We can not wait for to be able to see you guys again.

Just so y’all know I am working on my skills with R.O.B so be prepared!

Love

Chris and Jello
